INFORMATION:

A singing bowl is used primarily in Buddhist meditation.

Its custom dates back many centuries.

Singing bowls are played by hitting, striking and slowly 'stirring' a wooden striker on the outer rim of the bowl. When done correctly, the bowl will produce a continuous harmonic sound, said to be relaxing and good for the chakra.

Traditionally bowls are said to be made from seven metals and can be tuned specifically to one of the seven energy centres or chakras in our bodies.

Our Singing bowls range offers the traditional hand beaten plain gold coloured tibetan bowls and the more substantial machine made 'nepali' bowls which are easier to sound.
