Tharchen - vertical prayer flag close

vertical prayer flag, approx 3.2m height
Traditional large vertical prayer flag, with loops for a pole (not supplied) to fit throught and multicoloured edges.
Tharchen are normally hoisted annually at losar, tibetan new year, to bring good fortune and happiness to the home.
Choose from a variety of colours.
Handy hint: We have found very useful poles from kite suppliers, lightweight telescopic poles made from fibreglass. Easy to store if not in use all year round.

INFORMATION:

Prayer flags are traditionally hung outside and renewed every year or for auspicious occassions. As the wind flutters them, the prayers ripple out across the world.

we stock two types:- horizontal strings and large vertical prayer flags (tharchen)

Flags come in 5 colours to represent the five elements and different prayers can be printed on them. The most common is the lungta print (windhorse) for good luck and good fortune for all beings. We also have Tara print flags for active compassion.
