INFORMATION:
The act of creating a traditional sand mandala is a spiritual one undertaken expertly by tibetan monks, who use sand to symbolise the transient nature of our existence in this world and the certainty of change.
Using sand on a purely artistic level, we have designed these tools to be used for personal use. Attachment is one root of suffering and learning to let go of our beautiful art is a practise we all can do.
The feedback from some of our workshops has been inspiring - as well as learning to let go of our attachments (sand art is not permanent) young and old alike have enjoyed the challenge and created some very unique and personal designs. People liken the process to a meditation and an offering.
