INFORMATION:

Abode of the gods - the natural world is full of inspiration and mountains are receptacles of the divine.

Tibetans call their homeland Bod, pronounced 'pur' in Lhasa dialect. They refer to a fatherland, rather than a motherland as does China. They are intuitively bound to their natural surroundings as the balance between life is very slight. High altitude, extreme dryness tempered by cold make a living hard to find.

Tibetans are concious of the power inherent in the natural world and our symbiotic relationship with it. This feeds the belief in interdependence of all life forms.
